5th: Familiar Spot for Chapman

> Day 3: 5, 16-07
> Total = 15, 54-08

Chapman's 5th-place finish was his second straight in the Classic. The fact that he was the highest finisher who didn't work the Cataouatche spawning flat was of little consolation, but it was another solid beginning to a new year.

"I hope I can take the momentum into the rest of the season," he said. "I'm just coming off my high right now and all the adrenalin's gone.

"I'm just exhausted now and it's going to take me a day or 2 at home to recoup, but then I'll be fired up for the season. I'm excited to go to Florida (for the Elite opener at the Harris Chain next month, but I just need a little time to rest a bit."

He got to fish for considerably longer today than on either of the previous two, but weighed his smallest bag. He spent the event flipping Roseau cane with a TightLines UV Beaver.

"The water dropped 10 degrees today – down to 48 or 49. I'm guessing it was because of a rise in the river."
