How lucky I am to be living the dream
There is always so much to take care of right before we start the BASS Elite Series. It seems that Bobbi and I have way too much work and not enough time to get it all done. Of course we always manage to get it all done.

I dropped the boat and truck at Image Transform to get wrapped and it’s going to look great. My boat and truck with be wrapped by UltraTech Machine Shop. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent this company at the 2009 Classic and Elite Series.

As you all know, many companies are cutting back on their advertising budget. Without the sponsorship dollars…it is nearly impossible to compete in the Elite Series. Thankfully, I still have some great companies supporting me. The best thing I can do for my sponsors is keep my head in the game. My focus will be to catch fish and perform well in my tournaments so that I will generate media coverage. I have devoted much more time to working on tackle this winter and will enter the 2009 season more organized and prepared than previous years.

Let’s face it…most bass anglers are in this sport because we are competitive. We love the game. We love to be out on the water and catch fish. We love the outdoors. I am so grateful to be able to compete in bass tournaments for a living. This year I hope to keep the stress level a little lower and remember how lucky I am to be living the dream!!

Love the pictures of you and your kids up in the caves on Amistad. I was a marshal with you this past year on Amistad and wanted to thank you for the great time and experience. How is your dad's project going with the AR receivers? Ever down south in Texas let me know- put you on some fish on Choke Canyon!
