What a great week. Finalizing the boat and truck wrap and Brent’s jersey has been exhausting. I will be glad when this is all done. I feel like we really made headway and will be ready to roll by Feb 9.
Enough work talk… So, Brent and I went to meet the principal at Ray Marsh. We are deciding what to do for Mason next year. It’s a difficult decision since we travel half the year. The most important thing for us is to keep our family together. We do not want Brent traveling the country for 6 months and not being with his kids. Mason and Makayla need to be with their Dad and really love traveling. We have so many friends and see so much of the country.

That being said…Ray Marsh was awesome. We loved the school, the classrooms, the teachers and….well, everything. The principal was great. She was very supportive and encouraging. And we have our answer. We will enroll Mason in kindergarten next year for the fall semester. We will still travel and do the curriculum in the spring on our own. Hopefully, this will be the best of both worlds. My kids will get the benefit of going to traditional school and the incredible experience of seeing this great country. (They have already been to over 30 states.)
We will take this year by year and see how it goes. I have been doing endless hours of research for the last two years. I have done as much homework as possible. I feel very comfortable in our decision. We love our home school friends the travel the BASS circuit and we love our friends at Lake Quivira. Thanks to all of you for giving your input and advice.
We had lots of fun this week too. We had dinner with Mimi and Papa Tuesday night. We went to Gigi’s house on Wednesday and rode her horse. Makayla had a preschool friend over for a girlie-movie Friday night. We played poker at the Bicheleyer house on Saturday and Gigi spent the night to watch the kiddos. We’ve had a blast. My kids are so lucky to have wonderful grandparents.
