The Fishing Part of my Job
BASS must have been tired of all the complaints. They changed our payout to a more appropriate level. We still have the cut to only 8 events, but the entries and payback are both went up. This is good news. I still plan on this year being challenging in many ways. The economy is down and the sponsorships are way down. That being said…I hope to win the Classic and not have to stress so much on the finances. I love to fish competitively. We leave three weeks from today. I am ready to get to the Red River and go fishing. I have been working on tackle and sponsorships for the last few months. I am ready for the fishing part of my job.

Hi Brent
Congrats on the fifth place finish! My name is Denise and we met at the Fishing for Freedom event at Truman Lake last September. You are still my guy for fantasy fishing.I'm retired from the military now and looking forward to becoming a professional angler. Meeting you has been my inspiration for taking my passion for bass fishing to the next level. Thanks and Good Luck!!

Good luck on the Red River Brent! I was watching your 7th place finish on ESPN archives last season. Was that balsa bait you caught your kicker fish on the T&C crankbait you talked about in your comments about the lures you used? If so, are these crankbaits sold to the public? It seems to look a lot like the old Bagley crankbaits, and I would really be interested in buying a few to try out.

Thanks,

Josh
